Workout – 10/3/14

Today is a huge milestone.

I went for a 5K run after breakfast and ran the whole 3.1 miles.  I cannot remember the last time that happened.  Could be a year…maybe/probably longer.

It was hard – and I had to push myself, especially in the beginning.  But, I got it done.  Total time was 26 minutes and 30 seconds – which was another goal, getting under 27 minutes.

It’s hard NOT to feel good about this one.  Now, my goals are (1) get under 26 minutes, (2) run a full 5K for 3 times in a row on my current route, (3) move to a harder route and run a full 5K, and, (4) run my 5K route with the big hill in less than 26 minutes.  Once I can all that done, I will consider myself a runner again.
