My Own Fitness Plan 2.0 – Cycle 2 – Day 15

After breakfast, I went for a 5K run today.  It wasn’t too cold, 45° F; but, the wind was gusting at 12 MPH.

I got hit by the 2.8 mile mark bug again.  This time it was at 2.86 miles.  But, rather than stop dead, I didn’t stop my Forerunner and I walked for about 5 seconds.  Then, I started running again and covered the rest of the 3.1 miles at my normal pace.  Total time for the 5K was 25 minutes and 56 seconds.

As a bonus, I walked and ran, switching on and off, for about eight-tenths of a mile after the 5K.

I really let the hill, wind and my mind get the better of me out there today.  It’s a shame that I could not keep running.  But, at least I didn’t stop dead and got right back to it.
