My Own Fitness Plan 2.0 – Cycle 1 – Day 41

I went for a 5K run this morning at 7:45 AM. 

I was curious how my knee would respond to the run.

I took naproxen sodium for the last two nights – which I hate using – and used my foam roller on my IT Band before the run.

While running, I was aware of my knee – but, the discomfort was not terrible.  In the end, I covered the 3.1 miles in 25 minutes and 31 seconds.  (Not my best time, but, not terrible either – at least for me.)

I elected not to try a supplemental run after the 5K – just to play it safe with the knee.  And, when I got home, I iced it down.

How it responds tomorrow will determine what I do on Sunday with my running plans for that day.

This completes Week #6 for this cycle.  Just one week to go!
