My scale this morning read 172 pounds. That’s pretty close to the goal of 170 pounds by December 23rd that I set for myself.
Can I drop another two pounds over the next nine days? Sure, it’s possible…
But, I very well could gain a pound, or two, or maybe even three over that time as well.
When you’re talking about a pound or two, anything can happen. A meal with too much salt or slower-to-pass bulky fiber could lead to the scale creeping up a bit in a blip. Dehydration could make the scale show a number that’s low but really temporary.
Bottom line, I’m not going to beat myself up if I gain a pound between now and Christmas. And, I’m not going to be upset if I’m still at 172 pounds this time next week.
But, to be honest, it would really be nice to be at 170 pounds before the Holiday.
I guess this will be a wait and see thing…
